Hello,
If you have found this website, you must be interested in working in a prison setting. The prison service recruits people from a variety of backgrounds to work as prison officers. There is currently a deficit of employees, which presents excellent opportunities for new applicants seeking to embark on a challenging and rewarding career. While candidates are not required to have special qualifications, they must have a grasp of a key skillset, including:
1. Acting with integrity
2. Exploring and clarifying
3. Assertion
4. Non-verbal communications
5. Showing respect for others
6. Showing understanding
7. Suspending Judgment
During the recruitment process, each candidate will have to demonstrate the above-mentioned skills during the tests to obtain a pass. The tests are not complicated but will require candidates to show quick decision-making and problem-solving – this can prove to be an obstacle in entering into a promising career. Indeed, most applicants fail during this stage of the recruitment process due to a lack of preparation. It is not uncommon for nerves to get the better of people.
For this purpose, we have created a 1-hour preparatory course to vastly improve your chances of successfully passing the role-playing tests. In this program, we have designed a range of hypothetical scenarios similar to those presented during recruitment. Through psychological training, this course offers an intuitive and creative means to pave the way for future prison officers to pass their evaluation with confidence.
The course is conducted virtually with former prison service employees. Applicants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the experience(s) of working in a prison setting. Please note that questions may be answered at our discretion, to protect the safety of involved parties.
